2021 Awards of Excellence

The Awards of Excellence Nominees are…

Centre Wellington, ON – The Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce (CWCC) is thrilled to announce the nominees for this year’s Awards of Excellence, as well as the event plan in what will be another covid-adjusted year.

“Last year, we spent a lot of time in limbo when it came to this event. We are doing everything we can to avoid those long periods of uncertainty and stalled planning while we wait and see what might be possible. With all of that in mind, we have created a plan that is quite resilient to changing restrictions (and not in danger of being rained out)! Our goal is, as always, to recognize our nominees, sponsors, and winners to the best of our ability, with a reach that extends to the far corners of the Centre Wellington community and beyond,” comments Sally Litchfield, General Manager of the Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce.

In lieu of the annual gala, CWCC will be Live on Location every day from June 14-18, 2021. They will broadcast live from a sponsor’s location (different each day), and present three awards per day. These broadcasts will be aired on Facebook Live, and available to watch afterwards on their website. The exact schedule for that week will be announced in May.

“We were extremely excited to receive 85 nominations this year, roughly double what we have seen in past years. By the time we account for duplicate nominations (businesses nominated into the same category multiple times), and the several businesses who respectfully chose not to stand, we have 61 nominations to announce,” says Ashley-Ann Maginnis, chair of the adjudication committee for the Awards of Excellence.
