A Message from Dana Burdenuk, General Manager:

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope this communication finds you and your families well and staying healthy. During this unprecedented time, our team here at the Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce is committed to providing our members and community with regular updates and resources related to COVID-19.

We will continue to provide practical tools, templates, guides and reference material to assist and support all local businesses with business continuity planning, crisis communications, emergency preparedness, and information about the government supports and measures being put in place to limit exposure by individuals to COVID-19 and to protect businesses, jobs, and the economy. We will do so through email blasts, social media posts, our e-newsletter, and our website CWCC News. I’d like to bring your attention to Canada's COVID-19 Economic Response Plan that was issued today outlining a new set of economic measures to help stabilize the economy during this challenging period. These measures will provide up to $27 billion in direct support to Canadian workers and businesses.

Information is changing rapidly and can be overwhelming. Our team is here to support all of our local businesses. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at any time via email or phone. While we have closed our Chamber office to the public until further notice to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19, we are working remotely and are available to answer your questions!

During this period of uncertainty, we also ask you to consider ways to support our local businesses. This includes purchasing gift cards that can be used at a later date, ordering from local businesses online, and placing orders for take-out or delivery. Many local businesses have had to temporarily close and many are operating with delivery options only. We want to ensure that EVERYONE in our community knows which businesses are offering delivery options and how to place orders and arrange delivery.

We ask you to please post to the Facebook page below if you are a business that is delivering groceries, meals, medications, etc. - anything that is a necessity to our community! Sharing (and re-sharing) this information via social media will help all of us support our local businesses at this difficult time. At CWCC we will continue to share posts about the great initiatives that our wonderful local businesses are engaging in to help keep our community strong!
