2020: A Vision for the Future
The Awards of Excellence Nominees are…
Centre Wellington, ON - This was to be the week that we hosted our annual gala and celebrated the winners of the 2020 Awards of Excellence, presented by OLG; however, despite our ‘2020 Vision for the Future’ theme, we certainly didn’t see this coming. The annual event has been postponed from May 5, and will be rescheduled when it is safe to do so, with necessary precautions and adjustments in place. In the meantime, to celebrate what would have been the announcement of the winners, we are delighted to share the list of nominees for the 20th Annual Awards of Excellence.
“In 2019 we moved to an online nomination process, which we continued with this year, and we were excited to see nearly 50 nominations, with multiples in each category. Thanks to the wonderful volunteers who made up this year’s adjudication committee, we were able to complete that process in early March,” comments Katie Giddy, chair of the adjudication committee.
“While we are disappointed to not be hosting the gala and announcing winners this week, we are pleased to be able to share the list of nominees with the community, and look forward to celebrating the nominees, winners, and the Centre Wellington business community when we are able to do so,” shares Sally Litchfield, Event Planner with the Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce.
