Our committees play an important role for our community.

Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce is a Not For Profit organization and as such our Board is a Working Board. The Directors are active on various committees. We welcome the participation of our members on one or more committee(s) of their choosing. Each committee usually meets on a monthly basis for 1- 2 hours. There may be tasks assigned to be done between meetings as well. This is a great opportunity to expand your ideas and become active with your Chamber of Commerce. Outlined below is a brief description of each committee.

Committees & Roles

Engagement Committee

The Engagement Committee has overall responsibility for Communications, Marketing, and Member Engagement strategies, goals, and action plans to ensure membership value. Members of our Engagement Committee act as Ambassadors for CWCC, sharing their experiences and knowledge of the many benefits of Chamber membership with current and future members.

The committee provides recommendations on member communications to provide value and improve membership engagement.  The committee coordinates various events and initiatives that promote networking and provide the opportunity for members to grow their businesses, including, but not limited to: monthly networking breakfasts, business-after-hours, business training and education seminars, business advancement seminars, speed networking, ribbon cuttings, pub nights, sporting events, and the Chamber Christmas open house.  The committee reviews the financial success of events and makes recommendations to staff and the Board about ways to further encourage member participation and engagement.


Awards of Excellence Committee
Over the past several years, this hard working committee has enhanced and expanded the amazing Awards of Excellence event.   The Awards of Excellence gala celebrates local community individuals and businesses within Centre Wellington.  There are several award categories for which you may nominate yourself or someone else.  Note:  nominations are open to any business in Centre Wellington or any Chamber member.
